42 imagesThe fiercely dynamic and ferociously talented Miasha performed an invitation only set at Montana's in February the week her new single "Everybody's Beautiful" cracked the top 15 on Billboard. Her voice blew the doors off the room and her performance connected with everyone leaving them begging for more. Equipment: Leica M9-P, 50 Summilux, 75 Summilux

30 imagesGravitas Entertainment's new recording artist Johnny Miller played his first ever New York City show at Highline Stages in January. At this invitation only acoustic event Gravitas premiered the new music video for "No Ceiling" and Johnny debuted material he recorded this fall that he will be releasing this Spring and Summer. The audience crushed the stage so I had limited shooting angles, but I can't get in the way of rabid fans! Equipment: Leica M Monochrom, 50 Summilux 75 Summilux

43 imagesTour De Force's first signing Ghost Beach came to Highline Stages to shoot a live video for their soon to be smash single "Miracle" in January. The band and crew did a phenomenal job. The performances and lighting combined for some amazing images (both still and video). Here are some selects. Be on the look out for Ghost Beach this summer! Equipment: Leica M9-P, Sony NEX 7, 35 Summilux, 50 Summilux, 75 Summilux.

20 imagesJohnny Miller is an incredibly talented up and coming singer/songwriter originally hailing from Cape May, New Jersey. Featuring heartfelt, honest vocals and knowing, emotional lyrics his music evokes the best of the past with a style all his own and hooks to spare. Earlier this month Johnny did a series of warm up gigs at a local watering hall The Whiskey where I captured him doing his thing. I hear he is heading into the studio this fall with a new album to be released in the Winter! I predict big things to come for this amazing young artist.

50 imagesOn May 14, 2012 G. Love rented a studio at Highline Stages to shoot a stripped down video performing some of his new material to go up on his site later this year. I snuck in and shot some images of my own. When I sat down to edit, I felt that B&W (and some sepia) really suited G's back to basics musical approach, and troubadour styling. Cant wait to see the video!

38 imagesMy dear friend Perry Amsellem, together with acclaimed drummer and producer Kevin Hupp has assembled a premiere party band known as the Highline Allstars. In a first for bands like this, the Highline Allstars include members of the bands whose material they are covering! Back in May the Allstars gathered on Stage B of Highline Stages to play live and shoot a demo video. It was an amazing day and I can't wait to see the band play at some huge events this year. Congrats Highline Allstars!
